2010 WHS Track Rules

All Decisions by Track Officials Are Final!

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein do not express or imply warranty of safety from publication of or compliance with these rules and/or regulations; they are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury.

No coolers allowed in the grandstand area. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages allowed on property.

PRE RACE

1. Safety Rules will be enforced and checked weekly
2. Racing is allowed in more than one division but we will not wait for you if you are to race in the following race and you must pay for each division raced.
3. Announcer’s tower and Flagman stand are off limits to all but Track Officials. Anyone not following this rule will be escorted out by security
4. Drivers must be (14 years old for Rusty Bolt division) 16 years of age with a Driver’s License or Driver’s Permit and have parental or guardian consent.
5. Mirrors not allowed.
6. DRIVERS ONLY must sign in at pit office for starting position. No early sign ins allowed. If not signed in.. will start in rear of heat.

PITS

1. Speeding in pit area is not allowed. Anyone violating this rule will be penalized. Loss of points and money for that night of racing only.
2. Fighting is not allowed. Penalty for fighting includes but not limited to immediate removal from the Speedway along with crew and family.
3. Can race in as many divisions as you wish but must pay for each division ran.

ON TRACK

1. Leaving and Returning to track on a caution is allowed (feature only) as long as the green flag has not been thrown to restart the race. Track lineup officials decision is final.
2. If you cause 3 cautions, you will be disqualified from that race.
3. Spinning out, causing a spin out or rough driving will result in you lining up in the rear of the field
4. YELLOW FLAG: go back to previous lap. NO PASSING until green flag drops.
5. Track Officials line up is final!
6. A black flag will result you returning to the rear of the field, if the car is able to re-enter race, as long as you acknowledge flag.
7. The finish line is NOT the flag stand, it is at the telephone pole before the flag stand.
8. Must enter and exit turn 2. If you enter or exit any other part of the track, you will be disqualified from the race.
9. No driver may enter/exit the track or infield to argue or discuss the race with officials. If you do then you may be disqualified and/or fined for the event.
10. Hoods MUST remain on cars at all times while racing.
11. All cars must have window nets and must be used while racing.
12. All cars must run gasoline. NO ADDITIVES. NO ALCOHOL. NO NITROS.
13. No driver can exit their race car while on the track unless for safety reasons.

POST RACE

1. All score sheets are Final!
2. Top three cars will be inspected and weighed after feature event before pictures, trophies and money is paid
3. Consecutive wins: All divisions will be subject to tear down (Track Option).
4. Drivers only will be able to discuss a problem with a Technical Inspector or Track Manager. No pit crewman or spectators allowed
5. Claiming will be allowed only 5 minutes after the race is over. Money must be paid to Tech man at inspection area.
6. Any rule dispute will be decided by the Technical Inspector
7. All unclaimed purse money will be forfeited after 2 weeks.
8. All decisions made by Track Officials and Technical Inspectors will be Final
9. We will have a zero tolerance rule in effect for fighting!!!!! No exceptions!!
10. Last 2 weeks of the season there will be no claiming of cars. They are subject to tear down by track.
11. All teardowns at expense of driver.
12. Any car that dominates in any class, track reserves the right to make an adjustment if necessary.
13. All weight determinations will be measured on the scales selected by WHS (0 tolerance)
14. Drivers are responsible for their crews, family and fans.

POINTS

1. All points will go the driver. No teams allowed

INSPECTION

Refusal to permit inspection will results in immediate disqualification

Technical Inspectors decision is Final!!!!
